Some activations ask for attention. The best ones earn it in the first few seconds, with light that makes everyone look good and a photo guests can hold in their hands before they walk away.
That was the idea when Google brought URBNevents to a corporate event in San Jose this September. We set up our Slim Ring Light Booth in front of a custom 8 ft Google step and repeat, delivered every photo straight to guests' phones for social sharing, and printed each shot on the spot so every guest left with a keepsake.
The Setting: A Room Built for Big Ideas
The day had the polish you would expect from Google. Guests moved through interactive AI demo stations, past rows of Google-branded gift bags, and into a bright event space filled with round tables dressed in white linen, lush floral centerpieces, and a stage with a presentation screen framed by bold magenta signage. A refreshment bar with fruit-infused water and snacks kept the room fueled between sessions.
In a room this considered, a photo experience cannot look like an afterthought. It has to match the room, stay out of the way of the program, and still pull people in.
The Setup: Slim Ring Light Booth + a Custom Google Step and Repeat
We built the moment around two pieces:
- A custom 8 ft backdrop printed with a clean Google step and repeat. Crisp white fabric, a repeating logo pattern, and rounded corners gave guests an instantly recognizable, on-brand frame for every photo.
- Our Slim Ring Light Booth positioned right beside it. The slim, open-air kiosk has a minimal footprint, so it tucked neatly against the wall without crowding the floor or blocking sightlines.
The ring light itself does the heavy lifting. It throws soft, even light across the whole group, cuts harsh shadows, and adds that signature circular catchlight in the eyes. Under a corporate event's overhead lighting, that is the difference between a snapshot and a photo people actually want to post.
The Experience: Step Up, Strike a Pose, Take It Home
The flow was simple, and that simplicity is what keeps a booth busy:
- Guests step up to the step and repeat, solo or with colleagues.
- The booth captures the shot under the ring light.
- Photos land on guests' phones, ready to share to social media in a tap.
- Prints come out automatically, so each guest walks away with a physical photo in hand.
The video tells the story better than we can. Guests with lanyards still on grouped up in threes, laughed between takes, then settled into polished, smiling poses for the camera. It is exactly the energy you want between sessions: relaxed, social, and a little bit playful.
Why Instant Prints Still Win at Corporate Events
Digital delivery gets photos onto feeds. Prints get them onto desks.
A printed photo is one of the few event takeaways people keep on purpose. It goes into a laptop bag, gets pinned to a monitor, or ends up on the fridge at home, and the branding travels with it. Pairing prints with digital sharing gives you both: the social reach of the post and a tangible reminder of the day that sticks around long after the event wraps.
For a company event, that combination matters. The goal is not only content. It is a moment that makes guests feel celebrated, captured in a format they can share and a format they can keep.
Why a Slim Ring Light Booth Works for Bay Area Corporate Events
Bay Area corporate events tend to run in modern, tightly planned spaces where every square foot has a job. Here is why this format keeps earning its spot on the floor plan:
- It fits where bigger booths cannot. The slim profile works in meeting rooms, lobbies, ballrooms, and experience centers without a large footprint.
- It flatters everyone. Beauty-grade ring lighting is consistent and even across skin tones and group sizes.
- It stays open to the room. With no enclosure, people see the fun happening and wander over, so the booth markets itself.
- It carries your brand. Custom logo overlays, a branded step and repeat, and branded print templates keep the client front and center in every frame.
- It scales with the group. Solo portraits, pairs, and small teams all work in the same setup.

FAQ: Ring Light Photo Booths With Instant Prints
Can a ring light photo booth print photos on-site?
Yes. Printing is an optional add-on for our Ring Light Booth. With the printing station, guests receive a branded print within seconds of their session, alongside digital delivery to their phone.
How much space does a slim ring light booth need at a corporate event?
The Slim Booth is our minimal-footprint configuration, designed for tight spaces like meeting rooms, lobbies, and cocktail areas. Pairing it with an 8 ft backdrop, as we did for Google, creates a clean photo zone without taking over the room. Share your floor plan and we will recommend the best layout.
Can the backdrop and photos be branded with our company logo?
Absolutely. We can produce a custom step and repeat backdrop, add your logo overlay to every photo, and design a branded print template so your brand appears in every shot.
Do you provide photo booths in San Jose and the Bay Area?
Yes. URBNevents brings photo experiences to events nationwide, including San Jose, San Francisco, and across the Bay Area, and we never charge a travel fee, ever.
Can we collect guest data or analytics from the booth?
Lead capture and analytics are available as a custom-quoted upgrade. Let us know your goals when you request a proposal and we will scope the right setup for your event.
