World Dog Day with Vanderpump Dogs

On Saturday, May 11th, 2024, the city of West Hollywood, California, came alive with wagging tails, happy barks, and the vibrant energy of dog lovers from all over. It was the seventh annual World Dog Day, hosted by none other than Lisa Vanderpump, her husband Ken Todd, and The Vanderpump Dog Foundation, presented by NutriSource Pet Foods. This event has grown into a beloved tradition since its inception in 2016, and this year was no exception.

Over two thousand people and their furry companions had gathered, creating a wonderful community of dog enthusiasts. One of the highlights was the impressive array of over 45 pet-centered vendors. From gourmet dog treats to the latest in pet fashion, there was something for every pup.

Adding to the fun, URBNevents provided a 360 video booth that allowed guests to capture special moments with their dogs. It was a hit among attendees, offering a unique way to create lasting memories of the day. The booth was buzzing with activity as people and their pups struck poses and enjoyed the immersive experience.

The live entertainment was spectacular. Talented performers took the stage, keeping the crowd engaged and entertained throughout the day. But the real showstopper was the doggy fashion show. Adorable dogs strutted their stuff down the runway, showcasing creative and fashionable outfits. It was a delight to see the creativity and effort put into each ensemble.

One of the most meaningful parts of the day was the Doggy Adoption area presented by Auctane. Seeing so many dogs find their forever homes was incredibly moving. The Vanderpump Dog Foundation has done remarkable work in rescuing and rehabilitating dogs, and this event was a testament to their dedication and impact.

Lisa Vanderpump herself took the stage to welcome everyone and share the incredible achievements of The Foundation. She spoke passionately about the importance of raising awareness about dog abuse and mistreatment, both domestically and internationally. Her words resonated deeply with the audience, reminding us all why we were there – to celebrate dogs and work towards a better world for them.

World Dog Day is more than just an event; it's a movement that brings people together to celebrate the incredible bond we share with dogs and to advocate for their well-being. This year's celebration was a beautiful reminder of the progress we've made and the work that still lies ahead.

Thank you to Lisa Vanderpump, Ken Todd, The Vanderpump Dog Foundation, NutriSource Pet Foods, The City of West Hollywood, and all the incredible vendors, performers, and attendees who made this day unforgettable. Together, we can create a better world for dogs, one paw at a time.
