Reverse Green Screen - McNay Art Museum, San Antonio

For the opening party before the exhibit Immersed: Local to Global Art Sensations opened at the McNay in June, 2018, URBNevents was tasked with creating their own artwork. In the spirit of the exhibit, artists such as Andy Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Philip Worthington, and Chris Sauter, the McNay wanted URBNevents to utilize technology to engage guests and speak to the positive potential of art in the digital age.

British artist Philip Worthington’s Shadow Monsters (2004), pictured above, turns visitors into fantastical beasts. Worthington’s immersive space transports viewers to the realm of their own imaginations, recalling childhood play and creativity.

For this photo experience we utilized our green screen technology in reverse! Our magic blanket was used to create the digital replacement with a custom video, thus guests creating their own shareable artwork.

Guests had a blast with seeing the digital replacement in real time. We utilized our magic green screen blanket, ring light and beauty filter!
